For The Mama
Who Gets Triggered By
Her Kids And Feels Out Of Control
A short, self-led course with 3 tools to heal the reason you react, help you process emotions and shut down the voice saying you’re a bad parent.
If you’re anything like I
was mama, I know that:
✓ You are desperate to be the calm, loving parent you see yourself as being in your head but you can’t seem to control your temper in the moment…
✓ You hate that the shame that follows your outbursts ruins how you parent for the rest of the day
✓ You think you’re the only one who can’t follow the parenting advice, and secretly believe it’s because you’re a bad person
✓ You know the pain of your own childhood is probably contributing to why you get triggered
✓ You are so ready to release the guilt you are carrying and feel truly comfortable with yourself
I see how hard you are trying to be that respectful, conscious parent the experts say you can be. And yet however many podcasts you listen to or books you read, nothing seems to go in: you keep putting in the repair but you also keep blowing up.
And you’re exhausted from what feels like a relentless cycle of apologizing, explaining, promising to do better and then exploding again.
Even worse, you’re worried that your children are losing trust in you, that your repair is starting to feel hollow, that they’re now copying the worst of your bad behaviour and that it’s too late to undo the damage.
You are desperate for help but also terrified of admitting to others what kind of parent you are (even your partner or close friends). They would be shocked if they knew the ‘real’ you and sharing would make your worst fear – that you’re a terrible mother – real.
But what can you do? Nothing in the past ever created any meaningful shifts: emotional release work, energy healings and somatic approaches didn’t work (you felt relief straight away but your reactivity slowly returned) and therapy hasn’t worked either - you got insights as to why you might be reacting in this way but nothing about how to change.
There is a reason you are stuck in this cycle, mama, and it’s not because you are a bad person
You are looking for solutions in the wrong place.
You’re looking to MANAGE your reactivity rather than exploring what’s CAUSING it (and that’s the pent up frustration, anxiety and anger from your childhood, not your inadequacy, lack of knowledge or willpower).
This is where Finding freedom come in
No more parenting tactics or theory. 3 practical tools to:
✓ Soothe the inner child that is overreacting
✓ Permanently release the suppressed emotions that are resurfacing
✓ Regulate your system when triggered
✓ Remain calm when things are kicking off -
✓ Quieten the mean inner voice that convinces you you’re a bad mother
All this so that your kids feel safe and loved, and you can enjoy the next few years as a grounded, stable and present parent, not just get through them.
Here’s what other mamas had to say about finding freedom
“Learning about feelings is big. I’m feeling a lot of guilt about the relationship between myself and my stepdaughter. It’s quite broken. I’m realising only now that I feel such resentment towards her. She’s been given everything. She’s had all of her needs met every step of the way with the best of everything and never had to wait for things. And I’m realising that this is triggering because of my early life growing up with step parents from such a young age and being so shut down with zero voice. Since Finding Freedom, I realise that it’s me that needs to do the work. Wow! Maybe I’ve just done my first journaling. I probably don’t need to send this after reading it back but I will, just to say thank you, thank you Lavinia. I’m so glad to have found you."
— Renae
“Lavinia, I’ve been meaning to write you an email. I did the first module of Finding Freedom for only one emotional trigger so far (I have 9,000 it seems, lol) and I already feel like a new woman and mom. I can’t tell you how freeing just the first module was. I’m so thankful I found your courses. Thank you, thank you!”
— Leslie
Finding Freedom is for you if:
✓ You know exactly how you want to parent but turn into someone else entirely when you’re triggered
✓ You find it really hard to relax or stay calm and you’re starting to wonder if that’s just ‘who you are’
✓ You’re ready to look at why you are the way you are with compassion instead of self-blame
✓ You’re ready to look at why you are the way you are with compassion instead of self-blame
Are Now
I’ve Been Where You
In fact, I felt so inadequate for not being able to implement what Janet Lansbury would suggest that I had to unfollow her. I felt like I didn’t belong in her community of ‘perfect parents’; I assumed I must be the only one who didn’t get it.
But what I didn’t know then, was that it was never about ‘getting’ it. It was about doing things in the RIGHT ORDER.
I didn’t realise that it was not my brokenness that was blocking me from showing up as the calm, loving, stable and respectful mother I wanted to be. It was the unprocessed pain of my past, the way that I was parented and the effect this had on my self-worth.
So when I started turning my attention towards my inner child (and away from my actual children), everything suddenly made sense.
I learnt how to soothe her and how to release my old, suppressed feelings and things soon started to change. I realized that I hadn’t been failing to parent consciously before, I just needed to clear my trauma FIRST.
Luckily, getting to the heart of things is what I do best:
“Lavinia was direct, compassionate and a real mirror which was painful at times but it always felt constructive. I needed these sessions and I needed this approach”
"Oh My Goodness I just love how real and deeply honest this is. Thank you so very much"
“Lavinia is a joy to work with and feels like a best friend who is helping solve your life, instead of a far-away, disconnected counselor. More importantly, she is quite effective at what she does - I sent several emails that called her process ‘magic’ :) I stand by that.”
In contrast to the myriad of healing modalities out there, my approach works. And quickly.
It’s the reason I was recommended on Janet Lansbury’s Unruffled podcast (It Will Get Easier - The Intense Struggles of a Parent with Childhood Trauma, 2021).
As well as interviewed by Janet on two separate occasions: Becoming Untriggered (2023) and It’s Not Too Late To Stop Yelling Or Spanking (2025).
“You are a gift from the gods. Thank you.”
Janet Lansbury
What’s Inside Finding Freedom
Finding Freedom is short but deep. Module 1 focuses on Managing Emotional Triggers because these reveal the links between your past and your present;
MODULE 1:
Managing Emotional Triggers because these reveal the links between your past and your present;
MODULE 2:
Healing Your Inner Child because that’s the part of you that is taking over your parenting in that moment of feeling out of control.
MODULE 3:
Taming Your Inner Critic, and softening the backlash of that cruel inner voice that makes you feel so guilty for being a bad mother.
It’s a self-led course, so you can go through it at the pace that suits you; you can revisit modules as often as you like and practise the tools you learn - over and over - in everyday parenting scenarios.
Finding Freedom contains not only information about how to heal, it’s also experiential. Because to become the mama, partner and woman that you want to be, it’s not just about exploring and understanding who you are and why, but also about feeling and processing what comes up when you do so.
It is this unique cognitive, somatic and emotional approach that allows Finding Freedom to create meaningful shifts from the very first module (not after months), causing tangible changes in how you feel straight away and therefore changes in how you parent too.
What Set’s Finding Freedom Apart
-
Absolutely! Finding Freedom has been designed to be as concise as possible (I know that you’re busy and that your time is precious) but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t pack a punch. You want to get to where you want as efficiently as possible. That’s why the course goes at your pace, with no-one else to slow you down, and each of the tools contained within it are the very cornerstone of getting results – they are accessible and easy to grasp but reach deep.
-
It’s not therapy! Finding Freedom is as experiential as it is analytical. Yes, it’s helpful to understand how your needs weren’t met as a child but it’s even more powerful to discover exactly where these wounds are showing up with your kids and partner and how to fix it. In this course, you will not only learn how to connect a trigger with its root cause (the suppressed feelings from your childhood) but also how to release these feelings permanently so that they can’t resurface.
-
Absolutely not – that’s the last thing you need! You’re struggling enough with what you already know. Finding Freedom isn’t about tactics to help you get through the moment or deal with the fallout, it’s about removing the root cause of destructive parenting patterns that have kept you stuck in a loop.
-
I know that you don’t always feel proud of your behaviour (I didn’t either) so sharing is not necessary. You alone are in charge of your healing journey, how long it takes and the pace you set. No group calls or cameras needed. The course is entirely private, self-led and no-one else is involved. This is what creates the safety that Little You needs to heal.
You don’t need to have it all figured out to start, mama.
This is just the first step, and I’m here to help you take it. Are you ready?
