Is Being Flexible ‘Giving In’ To Bad Behaviour? (VLOG)
Kids don't necessarily understand the unspoken rules or decisions you think they agreed to. And they definitely don't see these as set in stone.
So is it reasonable to insist on rigidly 'following through' with punishments or consequences because not doing so feels like you're being 'soft' on bad behaviour?
When compromising with your kids (or anyone else!) feels like you are 'giving in', it might be time to explore what authority means to you and how much of your inflexibility is actually based on the expectations that were placed on you as a child?
